Anime Piece Movement Skills: How to Unlock Flash Step and Key Dash
Anime Piece movement skills guide: unlock Flash Step behind the Starter Island with money and souls, then earn the level-200 Key Dash on Dragon Ball Island.
Anime Piece ties Flash Step and a longer level-200 dash to teacher NPCs rather than random drops. Flash Step is a short, teleport-style step you can grab early on the Starter Island. Key Dash — the level-200 upgrade also called the Ki Dash or super dash — is a visibly longer dash granted by an NPC on the Dragon Ball (West) Island. Here is what each one costs and where to farm it.
Quick answer
Flash Step: find the Flash Step teacher behind the Starter Island and pay him money plus three kinds of souls. Key Dash: reach level 200, then give the homeless-guy NPC on the Dragon Ball (West) Island 10,000 money and three boss keys — gold, silver and bronze.
- Flash Step costs money (reported as 5,500 in one session, 10,000 in another) plus 15 Bandit Souls, 15 Igor (Rigaru) Bandit Souls and 5 Igor Souls, all farmed on the Starter Island.
- Key Dash needs level 200, 10,000 money, the gold key from Frieza, the silver key from the NPC players describe as the Crimson King and the bronze key from the robot boss — all on the Dragon Ball island.

What each movement skill requires

How to unlock Flash Step
The Flash Step teacher stands behind the Starter Island, past the whirlpool and windmill area at the back of the spawn. Talk to him and he offers to teach the skill for money plus souls. The money amount differs between demonstrations — one player was asked for 5,500, another for 10,000 — so bring at least 10,000 to be safe. The money guide covers steady ways to build up cash.
All three souls come from the same island:
- Bandit Souls drop from the bandit NPCs near the start.
- Igor (Rigaru) Bandit Souls drop from the Igor bandits farther ahead on the island.
- Igor Souls drop from the Igoro boss, who respawns about every minute.
Expect some farming. One demonstration shows the souls dropping easily, but they are not guaranteed — another player kept defeating the Igoro boss for a long stretch before his last two Igoro Souls appeared. The teacher's dialogue lists the exact totals, so confirm them with him before you farm.
Once you have the souls and the money, hand everything over to learn Flash Step. Press R to use it: a short, teleport-like hop that gets you out of trouble. One player who unlocked it noted that no cooldown is displayed anywhere and that the skill seems to come back fast.
It is worth prioritizing. The player who demonstrated the unlock recommends getting Flash Step early, because it lets you escape while a mob is damaging you at the start of the game.
How to unlock Key Dash (the level-200 super dash)
The longer dash is the level-200 upgrade, and its teacher lives on the Dragon Ball (West) Island. You need level 200 before he will hand it over. One demonstration finds him by using the Frieza boss as a landmark and walking around to the side.
Bring 10,000 money and three keys, all dropped on that same island:
- Gold key — dropped by Frieza, shown at about a 50% chance in one session.
- Silver key — dropped by the NPC players describe as the Crimson King, on the same island.
- Bronze key — dropped by the robot boss, shown at about a 25% chance in one session.
Those percentages are chances, not promises: one player beat the robot several times before the bronze key finally fell.
When you hand the NPC the three keys and the money, he plays a short cutscene and grants the dash, then asks whether you want to equip the new super dash. The difference is easy to see — the new dash carries you visibly farther than the starter dash.
In short: get Flash Step early with Starter Island souls, grind to level 200 following the leveling guide, then farm the three Dragon Ball island keys and pay the 10,000 for the super dash.
